Two hundred years ago the Dee estuary was sand, but natural accretion of salt marsh has changed the estuary forever.
The Dee Wildfowlers & Wetland Managment Club was established in 1952 to safeguard the sport of wildfowling and maintain shooting opportunities and conserve the coastal habitat of the Dee estuary. We shoot wildfowl on the Dee estuary which is situated at the very North East corner of Wales with the estuary being split between England and Wales.
We have traditionally drawn our membership from Cheshire, Merseyside and Flintshire, the counties that surround the Dee.
The shoot season runs according to the high water mark of ordinary Spring Tides:
1st September – 20th February
